National Apprenticeship Week
2023 was the 16th year of National Apprenticeship
Week (NAW) in the UK. To celebrate, we hosted an open evening here at our
dealership on the 9th of February, allowing young car enthusiasts to
connect with our team and look at the possibility of an apprenticeship with
JCT600 Leeds - Ferrari.
Students were given the chance to explore the showroom and
workshop, where we had our technicians, current apprentices, and marketing team
to guide them and answer any questions. Students were then hosted by our Head
of Business, Andrew Potts, who shone a light on the positive impact that
apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses, and the wider economy.
The theme for NAW 2023 was ‘Skills for Life’. We focused on how
apprenticeships can help individuals develop the skills and knowledge required
for a rewarding career and help businesses to develop a talented workforce
equipped for the future.
To help put this into perspective for students, we had a
video featuring our current and past apprentices on display, including Daniel
Dawson our Testarossa award winner. He explained his journey to achieving this
outstanding award and how the skills he developed as an apprentice, set him up
for his future successes. We encouraged students to ask any questions and
further explore our facility before our evening ended.
The Ferrari Apprenticeship Programme is designed to train
and develop apprentices in a way that enables them to learn the core elements
of their job role, whilst using advancing technology as well as fostering an
exceptional level of customer service.
